Survival week 41

An action packed trip to the Ardèche Gorge

This adrenaline-filled adventure trip runs as a 9-day or 6-day programme and is designed to build students’ confidence and teamwork, providing plenty of fun and adventure in a safe and closely supervised environment. The trip allows children to learn new skills, challenge themselves and bond as a group; with benefits which will extend back to the classroom.

The highlight of the trip is a 3-day canoe descent through the rapids of the Ardèche Gorge including an overnight bivouac camp where your group sleeps under the stars. There is also a full range of activities supervised by our fully-qualified team of instructors including climbing, abseiling, high ropes and weaselling that will be sure to get your students' blood pumping!

Described as the Grand Canyon of Europe, the Ardèche gorge is a thrilling setting that offers plenty of opportunities for your students to challenge themselves under the watchful eye of our professional instructors.

All our school groups are based in a dedicated section of a 3-star campsite on the winding banks of the Chassezac river, only 20 minutes from the Ardèche gorge. The campsite is well equipped for school groups with an on-site swimming pool, games area and shop. Students stay in comfortable bell tents with proper beds, while teachers are accommodated in their own comfortable mobile homes.

Students enjoy well balanced home-cooked meals, prepared by our own team, including a French-themed night where children can try frogs legs and snails! Breakfast consists of freshly baked bread with an assortment of spreads as well as cereal, yoghurts and fruit and we provide freshly-prepared packed lunches on a daily basis. Meals are served al fresco or in our dedicated all-weather marquee.

Teachers can relax in the evening because there is plenty to keep the kids occupied and our activity instructors will lead a full programme of evening activities such as nature treks and the ever-popular cabaret. Finally, every evening the team will run through the following day's activities with your group.

  • Professionally instructed watersports and adventure activities

The students try to find there own internship around in Denmark. if this is not possible the school will help. If a students internship are close to the school they will still sleep at the school.

The internship is lasting for the hole week

The internship should primarily give each individual student the practical experience that can help to inspire, clarify and test the student's choice of education and occupation. That is why a business internship should be realistic in relation to the student's education plan. Business internship must be prepared and after processed by the student and tutor

Professional internship can either be organised by the school or the student can find a intern them self

Due to the internship week being a part of the year calendar  the students live either at school or with a host family. It depends on where in the country the internship is or whether it's an internship in the armed forces or a special internship

Internship agreements must be made in writing as proof that the student has an internship place. It is possible to find an internship in your own country, rather than in Denmark, the school do not  pay the costs of this.
